4 day Zanzibar holiday

 

day 0. Arrive in Zanzibar

the driver will pick you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Upon your arrival at the hotel the guide will give you the short briefing about the trip next day.

 

Day 1: Spice farm and Jozani Forest: To see Red Monkey.

Today you go on an excursion to the spice and fruit plantations close to Stone town for the famous Spice Tour. We have developed a special Spice Tour with in depth information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. After the tour we invite for an opulent lunch at our guides’ home, where you can taste the spices and fruits. After lunch we take you to your beach resort. On the way you pass Jozani Forest, the last habitat of the rare endemic Red Monkey. With a local guide you stroll through Jozani Chwaka National Park and look at the rare monkeys. If you wish you can even wander down the boardwalk to the fascinating Mangrove Ecosystem.

Day 2: PRISON ISLAND & ITS GIANT TORTOISES (CHANGWU ISLAND)

A relaxing day on the Indian Ocean, on a small island, on the western coast, Changwu is a charming little island with quite of a history. It was a private place of detention for recalcitrant slaves. In 1883, a jail was built on the island, thus its name ―Prison Island‖. The jail was never in great use, and the ruins can still be seen. The island has become a small tourist resort, where you can relax, walk around see the Giant Aldabara Tortoises or beautiful peacocks, swim or snorkel around the coral reefs.

Day 3: Kizimkazi Village: To watch Dolphins.

One day you go to an excursion to Kizimkazi. Situated on the southern point of the island, Kizimkazi fishing village is home to several schools of bottle-

nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins, which can often be sighted following a short boat trip from the village. If you are lucky, you may be able to swim quite close to the dolphins, which can be a very rewarding experience. We are doing this trip in the afternoon to avoid the crowds of tourists in the morning, which in big numbers disturbing the dolphins.

Day 4: Leisure day at the beach.(stone town tour can be arranged)

Relax and unwind and enjoy the beaches of Zanzibar. Dinner and overnight

 

Day 5: Departure day.

Depending on your flight schedule and departure point you will be

transferred to Zanzibar Airport to take a flight back home
